How much do braces for kids cost in Anthem?

When should my child first see an orthodontist?
Around age 7. That is when enough permanent teeth are in for a specialist to see how the bite is developing. Most 7-year-olds who come in need nothing yet and leave with a monitoring interval instead of a treatment plan. Waiting until every baby tooth is out can close off the simpler options.
Do braces hurt?
Not the appointment itself. Placing brackets involves no needles and no drilling. Teeth feel sore for two or three days after they are placed and after some adjustments, and soft food plus an over-the-counter pain reliever covers it. If soreness lasts longer than that, call us, because something may need adjusting.
How long will my child be in braces?
Most cases run somewhere between one and two years. Crowding, bite correction and how consistently rubber bands get worn all move that number. Dr. Romans gives you an estimated length at the consultation, before you commit to anything. Missed appointments and broken brackets are the two things that stretch it.
