Braces payment plans in Anthem, AZ

Most families here pay with a mix of three things: a PPO orthodontic benefit, pre-tax FSA or HSA dollars, and a monthly plan arranged with this office. Your plan gets checked while you sit there. The consult is free, and the number you leave with is exact.

Why your number comes from the exam

Two cases that look identical from the outside can run different lengths, use different appliances, and need a different number of visits. On top of that, two patients with the same treatment and different PPO plans owe different amounts. A figure printed on a website would be a guess dressed up as a quote, and you would find out it was wrong at the worst possible moment.

So the arithmetic happens in front of you instead. Dr. Romans examines and plans the case, the front desk verifies your benefit during the same visit, and you leave knowing your share rather than a range. The consult is free, and the number you leave with is exact.

Ways to pay

Four ways we make treatment fit.

  • 01

Major PPO plans, checked on the spot

Bring the card to the consultation and your orthodontic benefit is verified during the visit, not mailed to you as an estimate a week later. You see what the plan pays before you decide anything.

  • 02

    FSA and HSA accepted

Orthodontic treatment is an eligible expense for a flexible spending account and a health savings account, so pre-tax dollars can carry part of it. Bring the card and it works like any other payment.

  • 03

    In-house financing

Whatever insurance does not cover can be spread across monthly payments arranged directly with this office. The agreement is with Romans Orthodontics, not with an outside lender.

  • 04

A free consultation, and an exact number

The first visit costs nothing whether or not you start treatment. You leave with the plan, the length, and your share of the cost after insurance. The consult is free and the number you leave with is exact.

How orthodontic insurance actually works

Four things worth knowing before you call your carrier.

01 · A benefit is not a payment plan

Orthodontic coverage almost never behaves like the rest of your dental plan. It usually comes as a lifetime maximum: one fixed amount per person, for orthodontics, for life. It does not reset every January, and it is paid out in instalments across treatment rather than as a lump sum at the start. Finding the size of that maximum is most of the work in figuring out what you owe.

02 · We file the claim for you

You are not the one chasing reimbursement. This office submits the claim to your carrier and follows it through, including the periodic claims that keep the benefit paying out as treatment continues. If something comes back wrong, that is ours to sort out, and patients have written reviews about exactly that.

03 · In network and out of network, in plain words

In network means a practice has agreed a fee schedule with your carrier in advance. Out of network means it has not, and most PPO plans still pay an orthodontic benefit either way, just calculated differently. What matters is not the label but the figure you are left with, which is why we work it out against your actual plan at the visit. An estimate is an estimate, not a guarantee of payment by your carrier.

04 · No insurance? There is still a plan

A good number of patients here have no orthodontic coverage at all, and it does not change how treatment is planned. The fee is arranged directly with the office across monthly payments, FSA and HSA dollars still apply, and the consultation is still free. Nothing about the treatment itself changes.

What happens

From booking to a figure, in one visit.

  1. 01

Book the free consultation, for a child, a teenager, or yourself.

  2. 02

Bring your insurance card. The exam, the scans, and the planning all happen at that same visit.

  3. 03

Your plan is verified while you sit there, so nothing waits on a callback.

  4. 04

You leave with the treatment plan, your share after insurance, and the monthly options that fit it. The consult is free and the number you leave with is exact.

  5. 05

If you start treatment, the office files the claims from there and follows them through.

Questions about cost

Six questions we get about paying for treatment.

How much do braces cost in Anthem?

It depends on how long treatment runs, which appliance the case needs, and what your plan pays, so no honest single figure exists to print. Dr. Romans examines the case and the office checks your benefit at the same visit. The consult is free, and the number you leave with is exact.

Do you take my insurance?

Major PPO plans are accepted, and yours is verified during the consultation rather than checked later. Bring the card. Most PPO plans pay an orthodontic benefit whether or not a practice is in network, so it is worth having us look at it before you rule anything out.

Why will you not just put a price on the website?

A published number would be a starting figure that very few people actually pay, and you would only find out the difference after you had committed. The first visit gives you your own number instead, and it costs an hour and nothing else. Book the consultation and see.

Can I use an FSA or HSA card?

Yes. Orthodontic treatment is an eligible expense for both, so pre-tax dollars can cover part or all of your share. Bring the card and it is treated like any other payment method. If your plan year is closing, timing the start of treatment is worth a conversation at the consult.

What if we have no orthodontic coverage at all?

Then the fee is arranged directly with this office across monthly payments, with no third-party lender in the middle. FSA and HSA funds still apply. Treatment is planned exactly the same way it is for an insured patient, and the consultation is still free.

Does the free consultation apply to adults too?

Yes, at any age. The first visit is free for a seven-year-old first evaluation, a teenager, or an adult finally dealing with a bite they have had for decades. See braces for kids, braces for adults, or Invisalign and clear aligners.
